We celebrated Jack’s 9th birthday with some yummy cupcakes today!!!!!

We were so excited to meet our own pals from H.E.S. today! They joined us for an assembly called “Rock out to Reading”. Afterwards, they came back to our class and we made picture frames and took pictures with our buddies. We then enjoyed this first day of spring by getting to play on the playground with them! We are looking forward to seeing them again next month.

We celebrated McKenna’s St Patrick’s Day birthday today with some fun, festive treats!

The kids had a fun time playing a St. Patrick’s Day math game today. They even got to use Lucky Charms as game pieces!!!! There was strategy involved along with some plain old luck!

We celebrated Mateo’s 8th birthday yesterday with delicious donuts!!!!!!

Today we had our culminating project for PLTW. We have been learning about “The Changing Earth” and about erosion. Today the students had to design a land model in hopes of preventing a landslide. These little “engineers” had some amazing ideas. All of their models had some strengths in them. I’m including before, during and after pictures.

We were hard at work learning about graphing and line plots today.
