We had a great day filled with Halloween learning, a parade, a party and a great craft! Thank you to Mrs. Behnke for organizing this celebration! We will be having our Halloween Parade on Monday at 2:15. Please send your child's costume into school in a bag. We will have time to change before the parade. After the parade, we will have a celebration in our classroom. Hope to see you on Monday afternoon!
We had a little Fall Fun with some leaf rubbings. We went outside to collect some fall leaves and then made some beautiful leaf rubbings. We have been learning about Fall changes and had read about why the leaves change colors in Autumn and why the fall to the ground.
We had a great Cultural arts event today called "Bots".
It was so much fun. We learned about different types is robots. We learned why robots are needed and what they are capable of doing. Our very own Isla got to race a robot to move marbles! We had a great visit from our local fire fighters today. They taught us a lot about how to stay safe if there is a fire. We got to see all the gear they have to wear and we even got to climb through the fire truck!
Today we celebrated our friend Harlin who turned 8 yesterday! His mom brought in an awesome craft for us to do. We decorated goody bags for Halloween!
Today we got to meet our Kindergarten Buddies! We will be meeting with them throughout the year to read books, learn about holidays, do craft projects amongst other things. It was a fun day to meet new friends since they were dressed as different book characters that they had been learning about! We got to listen to them tell us the story from which their character had come from!
